ACADEMIC ELITE CAMP
A prestigious recruiting showcase

Every year, thousands of high school basketball players consider where or even if they will have an opportunity to play at the collegiate level. Students with good grades and strong test scores have an advantage over other players in that they are more likely to be admitted by a greater number of universities. Similarly, every year hundreds of collegiate coaches are actively recruiting basketball players to fill open roster spots. Coaches from universities with rigorous admissions standards are at a disadvantage in that their recruits must also be able to meet those standards.

Textbook Basketball Academic Elite Camp is a recruiting showcase that brings together the top academic high school basketball players in the country with college coaches and scouts from the nation’s most prestigious universities.

Our Mission

The Mission of Textbook Basketball Academic Elite Camp is two-fold:

  • To provide academically accomplished high school basketball players with the opportunity to gain increased exposure in front of coaches from esteemed collegiate institutions.
  • To provide college basketball coaches the opportunity to evaluate players that meet high academic standards.

Academic Requirements

The camps are open to all high school sophomores, juniors and seniors (based on 2011-2012 school year) that meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • Cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.2
  • ACT score of at least 24; or
  • SAT score (Math + Critical Reading Sections only) of at least 1100
